With all this hot weather, thinking of window tinting. Is it effective as claimed?

There were limo tints in the rear of my E320 looked good, but couldn't see a damned thing reversing at night

I actually prefer just wearing sunglasses. Much better glare protection than using window film.

The X Trail has very dark 80-85% on rear windows, it does help with kids in the back as sunshine heating is much reduced.

Yes, if you use a good film it will be UV protective as well

Contacted a couple of companies regarding Tints on E350 Coupe neither were that keen to take on the job . One did say need to remove rear window, rear parcel shelf and rear seats .

Have spoken to their workshop in Ipswich, they will do a Coup without all the hassle of stripping out interior
