at the 22 minute mark he seems to get enough adhesive from a 500ml can

Thanks, love that video, fat dad on a bendy bridge.

I think I'll order one and give it a go. My pad collapsed so I removed it, I think I'm noticing more engine noise now!

I'm thinking of a different technique. Dangle the pad from the bonnet using the press rivets, spray with adhesive, raise to vertical position then smooth down.

From when I had Range Rovers and had to glue the headlining back in I was never particularly impressed with spray adhesive as I found it didn't last long before it started sagging again.
I'd be more inclined to use a brush on product.

Evostik only has a service temp of 55c. I see the SL shop sell Trim-Fix 100 for this application (other sellers are available http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trimfix-Hi...-/201451812184) Anyone tried it?

55 degrees wasn't an issue for a Range Rover headlining!
