Went to view a '99 T reg C43 today. Extremely good condition for its age, genuine 93K on the clock, full dealer history.

Spec highlights in no order of preference:

Black (paint code 040 so non-metallic)
Digital climate control
Black/silver leather interior
Factory-fitted Xenons
Factory-fitted parktronic
Factory-fitted glass sunroof
Factory-fitted folding wing mirrors
Factory-fitted electric, heated, orthopaedic front seats
Factory-fitted rear electric blind
MB Audio 30 with CD changer & Bose sound

Work carried out in its life includes a replacement gear box and both front wings replaced with a resulting partial respray. Both jobs carried out by a main dealer with receipts to prove. I think the only bodywork blemish I found was a scratch on the top of the rear bumper! !7" AMG alloys in great condition, Michelin Pilots all round, rears are new.

Seller is asking £6k. Even allowing for the spec and condition, is this reasonable or optimistic? I appreciate it's difficult to pass comment not having seen the car and any commodity is worth what someone is willing to pay for it but I'd appreciate any thoughts and comments.

TIA, David.

I think try and knock him down a bit. IMHO a good c43 with that sort of mileage is worth £5.5 k all day long. £6k is pushing it a bit, but I am sure if you turn up with five and a half in readies you would have got a cracking car for your money!
Any links???

Aren't the bills in general a bit bigger on CL's than on C's? So making it a bit more of a task to run?

unfortunatly none now
For me personally I wouldn't be phased by this. lower miles, price and power wins. If I had the money I wouldn't say no

I've made that mistake before unfortunately! With a series of fantastic cars, 928, 911, m3 &m5 but I've come to realise that it's not kind to the car OR my head as permanently expecting massive bills does dampen the enjoyment somewhat.
Hence 'only' going for a baby this time with a fairly run of the mill 3.2.... It makes owning it so much more :lol:relaxing even though the driving still is a help of a lot of fun

The CL55 is a great car...just need to check the ABC struts are A1, if they need replacing its £1500 per corner....again its a buyers market, for that money you need to look at a 2003 on model, facelift interior and more importantly it has a Kompressor strapped to the engine! (pre 2003 non Kompressor)
