Hi all,

In the 300SL (R129) yesterday, it was a really hot day...got into a long traffic jam 20mins, gradually when in Drive with foot on brake the engine started to sound really 'lumpy' to the point as I was getting worried it would cut out, if I put it into neutral all was fine, engine oil pressure and temp gauge both normal....later on drove home, no issues, car runs fine...any ideas?

Cheers,
DSB.

Thanks Malc...I am thinking that due to the hot weather something is either starting to fail (CPS?) or is starting to break down (leads, plugs etc)...

I think it goes for both the 6s, HT components should be best quality and in tip top condition.

Yea, ignition parts are the 1st place to start, and even if they dont cure it, its not wasted money. But after that you are getting into more expensive parts.
