I have a w220 2000, with the seemingly "usual" problem of hot air coming from the drivers side air vent.

Having scanned the forum, it would seem to be possible to repair, replace or refurb the item, but I am unclear where it is located on the s class w220, as it would seem I need to dismantle the covers to get to its location which I think it near the bulkhead / brake servo.

Is this the case ? if so how ?

Any short cuts or tips from anyone that has been down this path before ?

Thanks in anticipation :D

DUO Valve

Most o0f the details refer to the E Class not the S Class and they are considerably different, the W220 has a duo valve up against the bulkhead and is a devil to get to, I need the instructions to be able to remove the wiper assembly and facia to reach the DUO Valve and then details of how to remove and repair the valve if anyone can help

I understand the Television has these details from reading previous threads, particularly for the S320CDI W220 model

DUO Valve Repair

Many thanks for the information, this looks straightforward if a little time consuming.

I will have a go and keep you posted
