I don't like the nearly white background, can I change that? I liked the forum how it was ;)

It would be nice to have a games section in the Benz Bin, lots of forums have those.

Games section? What do you mean, like the word association we have etc...

I was thinking of the kind of arcade type games you get on some forums Sarah. I keep forgetting about the word association one on here, will have to give it a go!

Ironically as soon as I did that Hotmail and Outlook started rejecting emails from the server.... Trying to find how to get them allowed again but the old system for doing that seems to have gone.

EDIT: Found the form now hopefully will be sorted in around 24 hours

Why do I have to resign in every couple of days now, ticking the (keep me signed in) box on the old forum would keep me signed in until a log out???

You shouldn't have to @Cole@MBS a look on the support site and there may be an issue causing it that I will attempt implement later.

Thank you sir......
I made the change last night, please let me know if you still get logged out, as there are some other things it could be but they are not as easy to track down and solve.

Are posts in the classifieds, and benz free zone still not counting to the overall post count? It used to be thus I think so the statisticians out there could have a view on only Mercedes related stuff?
Personally not bothered but some folks might have a view?

They are still not counted, the reason is lost in the mists of time, probably something to do with stopping people padding their post count with short replies to some of the fun threads in the Benz Bin, the classifieds wasn't set up by me so I don't know the reason...

I'm afraid I have lost who posted that the hover text no longer showed part of the post. Looking into this it appears to be broken as the hover text should show the first part of the first post in a thread. So I'm looking into how I broke it and how to fix it...

As I said, absolutely fine, and that's how it should be IMO...thanks!

just realised something that's missing here that was on the old system, that the part where we had a mini 'about me' section at the top right of every post (the bit where the post count etc used to be)

now for me, the post count was irrelevant BUT the part which gave out a posters location (approximately) and car owned was, IMO quite useful if, for example someone posted a question like 'I need to find a decent local indy to fix my car as its difficult to start in the morning' or similar. by looking at that we can see that the poster owns, for example a 1997 C250TD and live in Oxford (for example only) so can help straight away without having to remember what car(s) people own or constantly having to ask the same questions over and over to find out.

could that part be replaced onto the new software? just a thought...

Can we have the ability to see user garage and location when viewing on a mobile device?
Currently even clicking the user to view the profile doesn't show that information.
