Hi Everyone

Sounds a daft question but what should my boot have in it?

I’m assuming as I have run flats that there’s no spare wheel and that as there’s no spare wheel, there is no need for a jack?

Thing is, what should there be?

It’s a C300h 2015 AMG LINE Premium Plus.

Thank in advance

Should probably be a tin/can of tyre puncture gunk and a plug in tyre inflation pump .

If the car has run flats then the boot should have a beautiful high quality liner across the floor, and nowt else.

If anything like mine (2017 W213), then nowhere near enough to keep me happy.

I got a small compressor, no tyre gunk as far as I'm aware, a nice cargo net, an adaptor for the stupid hub cap/wheel trim (yet no spanner to fit it) and that's it. No jack or wheel brace. When questioned, the salesman explained that, in the event of a puncture, I have to phone MB on the emergency number and they'll come out to me with a space saver. I then have to get my tyre repaired or replaced and drop the spare off at a dealership.

Not 100% impressed I must admit...

That sounds really quick to get you mobile again (not).

And I bet there's nowhere for the flat tyre to go either....

In the boot?

Or on the passengers lap if fully loaded

I was going to be juvenile and reply 'foot' to the OP question :D:D

Well it could live in the boot I suppose, it would just meant moving any luggage and stuff out to get a big heavy and dirty wheel in there.

Just been out to check mine, more out of curiosity than anything else. There actually is some of the tyre gunk stuff but it's a different type to what I'm used to, hence my thinking that there wasn't any. It looks like it screws into the compressor somehow so I may have a play tomorrow.

Oh, there's also a couple of Hi-Viz vests I can wear while I'm waiting for recovery because of a puncture...

My 20 year old BMW Z3 has a wheel bag in with the full tool kit and jack in the compartment in the boot floor. It has a skinny spare too. Never had to use it. Regress to the 21st century and nada :D:D

There is none in the 21st century because you never had to use it in the 20th..!
