Hi, I have recently bought a C class saloon, AMG Premium and wondered if the service plan from MB is worth taking out. I have been quoted £35 per month. My car is a 2015 and has completed 30k miles. Any help or advice would be great or is there an alternative!

Before you opted for an MB service plan then i would research the garage you would be using to carryout the work as some dont get a very good rating and when you are spending on average £420 pa you want the work to be done properly.

Hi Kenny,
Thanks for your reply. I will do that as I have a couple of MB garage options I can choose from. Cheers

An old B-Class.
I took one...based purely on the assumption that labour costs (biggest part of the bill) would keep going up and I can go to the MB dealer of my choice ...not locked into one. But.....I just had my wife's MB serviced at an indie and he was cheaper..

Hi, thanks for the info. I need to check to see if there are any specialist in my area who could service the car for me. Is there any big services that i need to watch out for?

Where in the country are you as i am sure someone local could offer advice as to the service they have received , either good or bad.

When you get North of Perth ( unless heading towards Inverurie !) we run out of recognised indie options of which I’m aware anyway.
I’m not overly familiar with either AC in Perth or Inverness personally but AC Mercedes Benz Grangemouth gets a thumbs up...
Personally I took out a service plan in my E63, there was a discount available of 15% at the time which made sense to my circumstances but possibly wouldn’t suit others.3 year plan. I also extended warranty but again it’s a 63 so there’s a considerably higher cost implication if something goes wrong. 1 year this week with the car with zero issues ( touch wood) so I might be wasting my money!
Anyway in summary as Kenny has said you have to weigh it up for yourself but I think the lack of accessible indies for you might just play towards the service plan and AC

Hi John, thanks for getting back to me. AC in Perth have been so far very helpful and I have no complaints but a trip to Glasgow or Edinburgh to have the car serviced is not out of the question and can be tied in with the wife shopping....dont know what' worse, cheers I will keep this in mind.

I have a E350CDI & I am half way through a 2 year service plan. I pay £28 per month got it on an offer.
There are various plans, I believe 1, 2, & 3 years, Mine is 2 years & 3 services.
Others have mentioned before about when you take the service plan. If you have a 2 year 3 services, & your next service is a B service, you are £££ in. Thats 2 B services & 1 A service.
