Can anyone help? In the morning when I start my Mercedes Vito 122, 3.0 v6, it starts fine but when I put it in gear under load, the engine stalls. If I leave it to run for 2-3 minutes then it’s ok and it’s ok for the rest of the day. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

About 12 months ago, mercedes carried out an interim services and it came back with this fault.
On returning it to them they said the fault was the fuel filter that was clogging and replaced it and it seemed ok.

How easy is it to fit a coolant temperature sensor?

Sounds like a TC lock up valve jamming or the TC clutches themselves...

All a bit of a guess without looking at it...
Hi
It was guess work by the MB Stratford. They fitted a torque converter and now have found the TC lock up valve.
Can the valve be fitted without replace the torque convertor?

Yes, valve is part of the valve body which is dropped out from underneath.

Under filling will only damage the box if its driven for long periods of time in this state, but you will loose drive with low oil so its difficult.
