Hmm rather pricey and they seem to be straight only. Something exactly like that but with a flexible center section.

Alex, this is what you need...

http://r.ebay.com/Fr0ALq

Medical DURABLE Bipolar Dissecting Forceps with 3000MM Cable Laparoscopy

I think they put something like that down my throat when exploring for Stomach Ulcers.

300cm. That would have been enough for the end to come out of my @rse.o_O

If its rubber and plastic turn the engine so the valves on the cylinder the bits are in are closed
then use a gas torch in the plug hole and burn off the bits in there then blow out the particle remains.

Good idea, not sure ill be able to get the flame close enough, but I will play about next week.

Empty garage, awaiting new toy :)
You could open the exhaust valves slightly to ensure its totally burnt off and exited the cylinder,
this will also prevent blow back on the plug hole when applying the torch flame.

Good luck Alex, maybe at BDC, the idea with superglue on end of a piece of say 4mm copper Elec cable could work?

It's strong but can be bent to shape. Leave it for a minute to set.

Few ideas...
Density: floating it out (or upwards) with oil, maybe EP90 gear oil?
Sticky solutions: Expanding gun foam, pulled out when cured, remnant foam cleared with the removal solvent.
B100 injection: bio softens many plastics, and a good excuse for a 2 week holiday.
MIG wire hook: I'd try that first.

Try a piece of thick copper wire, one end turned into a loop and dipped in Vaseline. Sticky enough to pick up what you’ve dropped and any residue left will just burn off as soon as the engine fires.

Well, 2 head gaskets, coolant, Head bolts

jack car up, remove front exhaust, remove turbos's - 3-4 hours at least?

Considering I have spent around 2 hours trying to get the offending bits out, I would much rather spend a day doing this than take the heads off. If it was anything else I would have just taken it off but its too much work.

Like all those, I had the same ideas as your first item, but didn't want to fill the cylinder with oil to find it stuck to the head!

Will try the mig hook/copper wire idea method next I think. car will be off the road for a week whilst injectors get refurbed anyway so no rush!

I had a look for used medical equipment for you last night. There are some online auctions coming up you could get lucky in...

I do buy some randoms stuff, but by wife will really give me an odd look with this one! :)

I also have the worst luck ever, asked a few indies, they have both said, "no, I have never had the injector pintle cap fall into the intake."

My luck!!

I think the V12's just bake everything under the bonnet until its brittle. At least I know for next time, inlet manifold off, then remove the rail.

There are a few places online by the looks of it. I don’t know anyone in this field though to ask. By the looks of it, supplying medical equipment is the place to be. £3k for a light source?!?

Indeed! Having just done an IT refresh for a fertility clinic, anything that is medical, £ X 500 then relabel it!
