CLS 320 CDI COUPE 4DR
Hello, im new to the group, and after some info on my much loved CLS 320 DIESEL 2009. Bought this car last year, just fell in love with it, had the underside all done £000's spent. BUT have not found one like it. This car has a Designo interior, seats very soft leather, two tone, black and white, headlining is like suade, been informed its like a Maybeck roof lining. door cards are black and white, rear of front seats are B/W. on top of the gear stick no merc badge, but design logo on it.
Anybody know of any more of this type about, is it rare. The family call it ORCA, As re door cards, B/W shape. Thanks for any help.

Welcolme, designo is a very nice touch and I'm not surprised you fell in love with it, very nice place to be.
Essentially Designo is a premium special order, meaning you could almost say what ever colours and finishes you want for a price.

As Matty. It's a special order where the original purchaser will have ordered very specific colour and material combination to Thier taste/requirements.
Designo is therefore quite rare. Craig on here has a Designo E class in pond slime yellow with matching interior. ;)

The only way to find out would be from MB. I'd estimate less than 1% of all cars sold are Designo.

Thanks for the reply, and the time you gave me re THE ORCA. So in the real world, would this make it more valuable, "Not thinking of selling it". And a big thank you to all who have helped me, and posts. Thanks Guys.

Unlikely to add much to value if anything.
In the main custom interiors etc can make a car harder to sell in the second hand market as its 'non-standard' so there is less (if any) availability of used parts. For example if you ripped a seat you would be unlikely to find another Orca one, but if it was standard MB grey you'd be falling over them on eBay.
