hi guys so I have noticed I have some leakage from a part in the pictures I attached. I'm quite sure it's coming from that part but could be wrong. I cleaned the oil off a few times and it has just reappeared. The car is w212 2010 e350. If anyone can let me know what this part is called that would be much appreciated

Post a general view of the engine so we can see better where that part is.

Is it oil which has leaked out of the filler cap and run down the rubber oil shield ?

Sorry. wighty has posted the photo. I'm quite sure it's not from the oil cap because of the area where the oil is on the part and is no trail going along to the oil cap. I did have the car at a garage and they had a quick and he said it was a server pump that needed replacing but I couldn't find any such part.

Yep Servo pump (as in brake servo vacuum pump).
Most likely just a gasket weeping.
How can I find out if it's just the gasket that needs replacing or the whole unit?

Is there anything I need to know when removing this pump and is there any other parts that need changing with it?

What is all the extra pipework with that bodge of a cable tie effort made to the slam panel?
That was a temporary test of pipe work for a catch can , don't panic it's all different now . See the pic .

It's alright I just took the chance and did it myself. But stupid ass hole in the parts department gave me the wrong part and didn't realise until I had removed everything . I should get a reimbursement for the wasted labour right??
