Will 18" AMG monoblock alloys fit on a 2002 Merc SLK Kompressor and if yes, any idea what tyre size should you use?

I don't think you'll find any suitable monoblock wheels with the correct radius boltholes for M12 bolts your SLK needs.

The CLK monoblocks are M14 boltholes with the correct offset
The CL and S class monoblocks are M14 boltholes with the wrong offset.

If you find some monoblocks, post up the Part number and ET which are both inscribed on the inside of the wheels and you'll get a definitive answer.

Hey there, thanks for replying. The part numbers on the ones i have are:

HWA 129 401 01 02 ET 31
HWA 210 401 02 02 ET 35

Are these the numbers you mean?

Thanks

If genuine AMG monoblocks they should begin with some thing like
A208........ or A220......

The only numbers above I recognise are 129 and 210 which are SL and E class wheels?

The ET looks to be OK which is important. The bolt holes even more so, although I believe you can buy M12 (12mm dia thread) radius head bolts with an M14 head

W202 or W203 Monoblocks will go straight on but they are incredibly rare

There were many replicas made by a company in Italy called Invicta, they were superb quality and took an OEM MB wheel centre, you may have more luck with them

Tyre wise

225/45 R17 front and 245/40 R17 rear
225/40 R18 front and 245/35 R18 rear is correct

Im not very clued up on this and have possibly shot myself in the foot (hence me looking for advice from you guys that have the knowledge) but ive already bought the alloys i mention above, and paid for them to be refurbed, so im really hoping that these will go on my merc SLK.

Ive been told they should fit, possibly i may need low profile tyres because the back wheels may catch the wheel arch as they are bigger.

Any and all advice is welcome cheers

Need to know the sizes, they should be stamped on the inside of one of the spokes

8x18 ET31, are they the same all round?

No, staggered.

All 18” but back is wider. Pics above are one of front of alloy and the other two are one of each front and back.

Rear is a 9x18"

Test fit them

You should go back to the refurbishers, they have painted the mounting face (where the bolt holes are), you should never do that

All holes still there?

On the inside of the wheel where the bolt holes are, they have painted it, it needs sanding off, you need that surface completely smooth

Here

AMG !.jpeg.jpg

Also why is there a spigot ring in the centre bore?????

Those wheels are off a Merc 129 series car

To clarify

In Red is the part number

In Blue is the wheel size

In Orange is the ET (Offset)

In Green is a Spigot Ring which shouldn't be there

You also need to check the bolt hole sizes, your car takes a 12mm bolt

That inner circle isn’t flat...there’s a slight indent where it’s a bit lighter in colour?

I guess that can be sanded down easily enough?

Do you think these tyre sizes will fit? Spent a bit on them so I’m really hoping so:

225/40 R18 front and 245/35 R18 rear is correct
