Obviously been enjoying the lovely Coupe experience ... windowless and sunroof open ... too much!

Back to reality! He he
Swapped rear Dashcam from suction to adhesive mounts, only tomrealise this time I forgot to check clearance with the rear headrest.

In doing so I pulled the right headrest up manually, to check the clearance ( manual says one can do that or use the button ).
Once finished, I went to quickly press the centre console headreast up/down button, expecting it to slap down as they do. Nada!
It didnt go down.
So tried the reset trick 20 seconds Held down button. During this time the left headrest came up in a controlled fashion as it should. A long press raises them. Tried the short press to get them down. No luck.

I tried the Lumbar supports, neither left nor right react?? ( I understood the pump works both the Lumbar and the rear headrests release.

Note I dont have Dynamic seats, just the Ventilated, Climatised ones with three blue cold buttons.
Code 401.

I checked the Hazards ... works fine. Note fuse No. 40 works the Hazerds and the rear headrest release.

When I press the headrest release button I Hear a click! But they stay up.

OK pulled out the new iCarsoft MBV2, ran a test.
Showed the following identical fault codes on both left and right Seat Adjustment modules
6815CF28-C2D3-43BE-BE38-75A6976BDE0C.jpeg

I was able to Clear them, but still no joy with the Lumber supports or Headrest release, but when I re scanned, it showed them as Historic fault codes? (Tbh not sure how this MBV2 works).

I don't hear any whooshing air, but then it was noisy.

Does that mean I have a Leak? As the left one did come up?
Cant find any refs to Code 9263 ... is that a proper MB code?

Where does one start trying to work out wtf has gone wrong? Other than getting it on STAR !

Other possibly significant factors:-
1. I found the Battery at 12.4V yesterday and the MBV2 Battery test today said it was 11.96V. Using the Fluke before running the iCarsoft MB V2 tests today it read 12.2V ( note it charged to Care Mode suspiciously quickly yesterday. But I was expecting to see 12.7V this morning ).

Living with this new, but imo defective replacement battery ... that passes every MB or Mobilo test there is, and starts her everytime! .... but cant hold a charge :(:( ... yeah no battery drain circa 2mA to 40mAs.
I am well suspicious of any fault code with a battery reading under 12.6Vs

I also noticed the MBV2 couldnt find the Trunk Lid controller with just the ign. On and the boot would not open from the door switch. But once the car was started i.e. 14.2 V were oresent, the boot would open from the door switch. So imo the battery was too low to run the car properly.

2. Oddly charging the Battery the newish CTEK Stop Start, that usually goes up to 13.8V and 3.59A seems to only go to 13.0V and 3.4A ..... coincidence ? or maybe in warmer weather it should limit itself??
Or is the CTEK dying too! :(:(

3. I noticed the back seat is not in properly
See gap on the left side

There is a slight gap where you can just see 2 washers
Converesly the right side its nice and snug

The back seat was taken out when the Main Dealer replaced the front window. They had to take out the rear inner quarter panel to align the back window with the front one, so they were perfectly aligned. WIS says to release the back panel you have to take out the rear seat!
Easy to sort ... pretty sure they will put it back properly for me .
Question is could this affect the rear headrest switches ... I dont think so but ...

4.
A chap on MB World had an identical problem just appear. It was solved
“Basically as Diesel Benz suggested, the car was not coded for Lumbar. As soon as we went into Star and changed the Lumbar setting from NOT PRESENT to PRESENT, bingo the Lumbar started behaving perfectly again ... a simple problem but one that has made everyone over here in the UK tear their hair out ...”

Could my manually pulling up the Headrest, or operating the headrest / Lumbar at low voltage have flipped the Lumbar Support setting from ‘Present’ to ‘Not Present”?

Seems jolly unlikely ... but then how did his flip?

Any ideas welcome ...

Seems like a STAR diagnosis is the first port of call.

Can STAR check if the problem is the actual pump or a leak in the tubes ... and where the leak is?

Very glad I dont have Dynamic seats ... that pump costs £1400 ... thankfully mine is under £400. ;) or £300 if they let me buy it at the Dealer Trade warehouse I accidentally found myself in yesterday. ... right litttle Alladins cave with lovely prices :):)

Re checked with the MB V2.
I cleared all the codes last time.
Today it only found a fault code 9263 on the drivers seat adjustment side .. not on the left seat.
Does that mean the fault is only on the drivers side?

STAR looks like the only option. :(

From what you have found out, it does seem STAR is the best way forward, otherwise chasing round in circles.

Yep, I did see a few posts where this wrinkle even phased Malcolm ::(:(

It would be great to just be able to check the fuses first. Ha ha I can manage that, if only I could work out which ones they are LOL
