Just an update phoned Mercedes-Benz this morning about the bonnet not opening the nice girl on the desk went to chat with a spanner man and cam back with this answer about any other way to open the bonnet ...(no secret way no hidden catchs)..... Am I the only ml owner that's got a duff bonnet catch lol...no is the best answer that Mercedes-Benz can come up with...so now it's the automobile association's turn....if they fail then come the weekend out comes the angle grinder lol....

So, What happens when you pull the release under the driver's side dash? Is there any resistance?
You say driver's side? Ml320 ? Hopefully not lol?

OK update lol I took matters into my own hand yesterday (bonnet) after an afternoon of disappointment and a mind bending conversation with Mercedes-Benz I was left with one choice so I did it I got the disc cutter and cut the area around the lock then gave the pins a smack with the hammer it was like a seen from back to the future lol.

I am assuming that you actually opened the door right. sounds a bit dramatic to say the least. I would have took it to MB and not bothered with a phone call.

Yeah door opening was not the problem the battery was the original problem and then the bonnet wouldn't open so I could not start it ad it was flat which in turn brought about the drastic use of the cutting disc ...the phone call to the dealer was like something out of monty python lol

Dealers sadly are just not bothered with “work”. They plug the car in and follow instructions. Anything beyond a service and upselling (brakes, tyres etc) is a headache for them. IMHO

Glad you got it sorted nevertheless.
