Hi All,

I've recently replaced the main idler bearing as I knew it was noisy but I think I've also a noise from the AC compressor (noticeable when the car is at idle with AC switched off)

It's a rattle which sounds like a bearing but goes as soon as you switch the AC on. I guess this loads up the compressor which removes the rattle?

Anyone had this issue and has anyone DIY'ed a fix?

It'll be the magnetic clutch rattling. Why turn off the Aircon?

As above, leave the aircon on normally. Are you switching it off when you drop the roof?

Didn't really give it too much thought tbh. Just heard the rattle and then figured out it was the ac compressor. As said, probably just leave aircon on :)
