hi,
i've got the panoramic sunroof, which is lovely but for some reason, randomly when i come out to the car the blind has opened itself, either partly or all the way, and i've no idea how or why it's happening, my previous car had one and it never opened except when i told it to

any ideas ?

Sorry I can’t diagnose your issue, but I’ve just removed mine.
It was a constant nuisance and was faulty when I purchased the car.
I did take it to MB dealer ship to try and get some sort of “Good Will” repair but no joy £990 to remove and fix !! So hence I removed it.

Not heard of this issue and it doesn’t do it in my 212 for sure
Might be worth doing a reset (windows sunroof) to see if that cures it?

it didn't happen with my W212 but does occur about once a week on the W213, sometimes it opens fully, sometimes only a little bit, but it's random, i tried the usual 'sync' process for windows on the blind, but it doesn't seem to make any difference, if anyone has any other ideas that would be great

I've new info on this, it only happens after I click the button on the remote control to open the car, so maybe there's a pattern of me holding the button to long or something, either way, it's doing the opening only after i unlock the car, i need to verify exactly what button keypress is causing this (as i'm not pressing and holding for long periods for that old trick of opening all windows etc..)

If the roller blinds are closed then the Convenience Opening feature opens the blind before the windows and sunroof. I suspect you are just holding the button too long!

but i'm just clicking it to be honest, and sometimes i see the blind has fully opened or partially opened

and i'm NOT using the convenience open feature, at least not intentionally, and if i was, then surely the windows and sunroof would also open, and none of them are opening,

Apparently the blind opens first before the windows and roof. Perhaps you have a sticky button on your key. Try the spare?

good idea, i'll try the spare and see if i notice any change, i'll also try to limit the pressing of the open boot button, to see if that's related too..

ok so i can now confirm the following, by pressing the center button on my key fob and holding it down, the sunroof blind will open while i keep the button depressed, so that was what was happening, i was inadvertantly holding the button too long and it was attempting the convenience features...

so no big deal, at least i understand the mystery now, it wasn't opening by itself, it was me !!
