2014. W205, C Class C220. Diesel Blutec Automatic Saloon.
I just ask someone for the right time, then I write it down so if someone else asks me later I can show it to them. :D

Can't you afford a watch of your own?
Update on the date issue: date not stuck just 6 months behind moving on 1 every day.

Took mine to a main dealer yesterday and they tell me ALL my software is up to date. Car is booked in November 22nd for investigations, will report back findings.

Botus - if your car is 2010 is it the facelift version with NTG3.5 COMAND?

it not nov 2006

Comand often shows wrong dates - early r230 for example shows something like 2003. It's a software bug in the firmware.

I now share your pain.... today mine had gone to 21 March and will not change, you can set to whatever you like and it refuses to remember your choice

if you select tome zone UK it offers: do you want auto summer winter ? whichever you chose it ignores and keeps the summer time, so the analogue clock is now an hour out

changed FM stations, changed to DAB, tried the TV, tried the Nav, all working exactly as they should but the clock and date has gone mental and can't be fixed.... very annoying

everything in the manual points to time info coming from the sat nav..... and states if the time is wrong the sat nav time of arrival data and the traffic info won't work

As I don't drive much these days, it was only this morning, when I get to change the time - pretty simple on my car, all done by pressing a couple of steering wheel buttons :)

I think this may be a S Class problem only then. Slonsdale has very kindly agreed to report back after his Merc Dealer has investigated later in Nov so I am waiting until then for more info. However, I have reflected on this and expect this is a worldwide issue and is not confined to the UK. My local dealer and a local Merc independent garage which has all the gizmos for checking software etc had not heard of this problem. I expect that by now Merc UK has got wind of this so I am going to check with them next week and register this with them referring to this thread. Otherwise as a new S Class owner the car, albeit 10 years old, is great - 3 weeks into ownership!

more fun, had the battery on charge, fitted coil pack on cyl 8, and reset service indicator "with tool" as was done wrong by recco'd indy at last service!

went to try the clock stuck on 21 Mar, sat nav can see 5 satellites on my drive (which gets bad reception on lots of stuff...) flickered to 6 at one point - its a setting in nav menu geo coordinates and number it sees - instead of time of arrival / distance to go etc. The coordinates its displaying are 100% spot on to the metre. No traffic news, but this can take a while …. but also supposed to be broken if clock wrong

started it up, misfire gone - full diagnostic on 50 modules all come up OK -

looking at "tuner" info it says its from 32/2005 which is very odd as its not... its a A221 900 3402 so do you need to tell it somehow? or is the software inside the unit even on a 2012 car 7 years old when it leaves the factory

A150 manual, smart forTwo, W205 AMG line premium plus.
This is a bug that affects the W221 S and W216 CL. We had two cars in this week for the same issue. Loading the latest firmware doesnt resolve it either.

There isnt a fix (yet). Dont waste your money asking the dealer to look at it. they will tell you they cant fix it and here is a bill!

poshish autel kit, its just had an update for
OBDII V6.03

1. Add the fault code help function.
2. Add the AutoVin function.
3. Update support for EOBD up to 2017.

point 3 is news to me...

The technical implementation of EOBD is essentially the same as OBD-II, with the same SAE J1962 diagnostic link connector and signal protocols being used.

In 2017, all previous standards were revoked because there were more than 24 standards produced over 35 years. The new document supplanted all previous versions

Had the same problem on my GLC, took me ages to work out that their are 2 settings that apply.
One is to update date and time automatically, that one was ok, the other had BST set to on, not to auto, so the car was stuck in BST.
Changed the second one and all was well.

Had the same problem on My 2007 S500 & wife's 2006 S350. Persisted with resetting attempts to change date in Command/Vehicle/System - Time & Date since BST ended; all with zero success. It always reverted to a date in March 2018.
Got both cars out this morning and was about to disconnect the service battery to power down the systems to reset but decided to check date/time before doing it - to find both cars had changed overnight to show the correct day. I hate technical mysteries so has anyone got an explanation?

I emailed the national Mercedes Customer Service yesterday about this problem and mentioned this thread but no reply yet. Have just read AJS' post whilst typing so popped out to check my S320 which I haven't used today. Checked the date and it is 9th November no longer March!! Then I set the clock and the analogue clock adjusted to the right time! Bingo. No idea why but it's all sorted now. I hope it is for everyone. Cheers Dusty

UNBELIEVEABLE !!!! Just gone out to check mine at 17.20 and the date is correct, able to alter clock as well.
Don't know how you did it dusty, but that's MAGIC.
Cheers
