We had Mercedes A160 in yesterday

running the same Bosch MED17.2.2 ECU as the A45 AMG, these run tricore chipsets which means it has to be tuned on the bench.

stock power 115bhp & 203nm @ wheels
GAD power 161bhp & 291nm @ wheels

+46bhp +88nm

this equates to 185bhp & 334nm at the flywheel with a 12% transmission loss calculation.

impressive gains for a 1.6!!

The curve looks much better too, its very peaky in stock form? I wonder if its mapped like that to make it feel more torquey than it is?

that should really make the 160 a lot more sprightly , I have a cumquat as a courtesy car at the mo , it goes ok but really could do with more go as it soon loses interest after 4k revs

I serviced a friends 2016 Twingo.....

3 cylinders

900CC

It apparently has a turbo, but it did not feel torqey at all, it was paired with a 6 speed automated manual.

On the way to the workshop, I drove it normally, 41mpg

on the way back, drove it as efficiently as possible, 46mph (the tyres were all low, since pumped up).

I can't say I was that impressed. It should be better for a little city runabout.

these lil city cars are very rarely as economical as stated unless with a derv unit fitted , so ok parking is easier but what else is good about them other than that ? cheap road tax ? tyres ?

I drove around in a 1.2 fiat 500 recently, about 40 miles, did 50mpg in traffic, that was quite good!

All I I know is the stock AFRs were very lean, and yes the stock tune wasn't the smoothest
