Hi,

Just had the rear tyres changed and fitters noticed that only 3 of my wheels have locking nuts?

I'm not too fussed, but it got me thinking - anyone know how many different combinations of locking nut there are? All the ones I've ever seen all look identical to the untrained eye.

Wouldn't bother with them, they are totally useless

I'd be removing the locking bolts form the other wheels as well. With luck you'll have the little plastic "briefcase" with the spare wheel and tools with the normal wheel bolts in.

I disagree, they have their uses... they can prevent the legal owner from removing his wheel, it's not a use you'd want but it's very common.

Yep, been there :mad::mad::mad::rolleyes:
