Good evening Ladies & Gents,
I was looking for some recommendations for some breakdown cover , for my Mercedes and my partners DS3.
Any good or bad experiences please.
Many thanks.
Vincente.

It doesn’t have Full MB, as I’ve missed a couple due to the fact I only do 4K a year.

What company does your account use ?
AA. Had them out 5 times in 10 years. Once for the 210 (faulty CPS 5 minutes from when I bought it - I knew it was duff before purchase), once for a collapsed battery and failed alternator in my Land Cruiser and twice for Defender (once for a shattered CV that jammed the steering, once for a failed propshaft that broke the transfer box). The last one required 2 recovery trucks as I was towing a Sankey trailer on a NATO hitch at the time.
Never had any queries or comments about the age of vehicles or anything.

I’ve used Green Flag and wasn’t impressed, so maybe try one of the others .
Any recovery service is only as good as the local agent.
I've got May Day through the Caravan Club that is run via Green Flag. Never had a problem with them .... failed 'fan belt' on my Omega at 1930hrs on a Sunday evening just 1/2 mile from home .... failed crank shaft sensor & failed fuel pump on my Roadster and about 4 times for faults on Emily's car that good Dad fixed when it was recovered home.

^ this unfortunately as most are sub contract. One of my employees husband owns the local here who do Green Flag and now AA or RAC can’t remember which- these are good ones but some years back I had the one covering Warrington area destroyed the ECU in my outgoing V70R by connecting the jump leads the wrong way!
Which was never going to work anyway as it had run out of fuel ( long story I wasn’t driving )

Go via topcashback and you’ll get a good percentage of the premium back after a few months. I swop between AA and RAC each year

On the Defender, you only needed to say “because Land Rover” and everyone will know what you mean!

Sadly true!
Speaking of which, Matt has got his 90” Defender sorted out, remapped and he may be up for some off road action in the new year if you fancy?
