As above, was driving to the cinema with the kids and went to overtake a Skoda Yeti and all of the power seemed to have disappeared. There’s no engine management light or any other lights that may indicate a malfunction. It was fine literally 5 minutes before.
I also noticed that as I slowed down at junctions the auto gearbox didn’t seem as smooth changing down through the gears. Can anyone shed any light on this at all? I’ve literally had the car 3 weeks after a nightmare Audi which constantly broke down. I’m gutted as it has been so nice to drive up until then. Help please :(

It sounds like it's dropped into limp mode. It can do that for many reasons so a session on Star is a must.

Can it do this without throwing up any EML lights etc?

If you bourght from a dealer you ideally need to contact them because the car will still be under warranty

I take it STAR is the equivalent to VAG.com for Audi Diagnostics ?
Thanks for the quick reply.

No I bought from a independent garage however it’s still under its warranty so I’ll get in touch ASAP. Thanks.

Yes Star is the equivalent of vagcom.
Unlike vagcom there is also a hardware element involved.

None of the two mentioned above are open today. I’ve just driven the car to a garage that’s going to see if they can read the fault codes for me. The car is working fine this morning not in limp mode so hoping they can read them
