Merc O5 c220 diesel No pick up at 80

I have a Mercedes 05 diesel but recently it's started losing power up hill with four adults in ( fine on my own ) and went to take it on a good run down motorway it didn't pick up at 80mph nothing with foot flat to boards . I've had gearbox oil done to no avail. Don't want to get rid as it's in immaculate condition even though 148k on clock. Thanks Mark

If it did nothing at 80mph with your foot to the floor, it sounds like its in limp mode.

It can go in and out of limp mode without putting the check engine light on.

Give it a quick diagnostic session and get the codes scanned on a good code reader and it should give you some insight.

I've had it on the diagnostic machine and everything points to the turbo. Im not very up on it all but a friend says it maybe worth changing the solenoid boost valve?

I wouldn't change it just on a hunch. The solenoid is easy to test on the bench.
