You may want to sort that front left tyre - it's on the wrong way!

Ah ... a Marlin.
Build quality of this kit car depends entirely on the thoroughness of the original builder.
I've seen great Marlins and total bodge-ups.
Your's looks well put together.
What engine has it? -there were several variations.
Great summer fun.

If it’s got the MT75 gearbox, it’s one of the best Ford ever made, a truly great box.

2.0 lt ford pinto .only hassle i know of was knackered cams ,easy fix and leaking water pumps .same. would have liked straight six vitesse engine ,but sure ford bits easier, cheaper. and plenty fast enough, i dont do rushing around motoring now.

The spare should swap over for the front nearside tyre, so no immediate hassles.

That machine brings back some memories. As I recall, they started building them in about 1982. I think there is still a Marlin Owners Club. If I'm thinking of the right outfit, the original firm was bought out, and changed the period look for a jelly mold. Shame. Real character cars.

EDIT: Don't think the spare will swap over - it looks the same wrong direction as the front n/s.

tyre..... owner advised its getting mot in next few days, doubt i will be able to get it french reg, they aint helpful on this... tho EU told them to solve the matter in 2013 !!! so it will be coming and going, hopefully.

and yes ykc took all over and it became FBG. there is an owner club, but most posts i see on that are yrs old. there are a number in europe,at about 2x the price, but i have yet to see any in france . a few pilgrims yes and a robin hood thats about it. even the french leave em on uk plates .

Forget points ignition, new ones usually low quality and don’t last. Fit in distributor electronic system or 123 distributor.

i suppose 1 electronic item should not be too taxing, we see, supposed to go over for it tues , hope the deal is not going to fall apart and it checks out ok .
i guess if it starts,no smoke on overrun, stops in straight line, has no hum in the bum, and all gears stay in its probrably ok , build quality can only be verified on sight . was surprised at road tax its 270 yr, think that same as my CLK!! 84 too late for tax exempt i understand.?
