What is my vehicles - Euro?

Dear All,

ULEZ going to start to kick-in soon.

So I'm trying to look for the *Euro* Emission standards of my car, but i can't seem to find it in my V5C and not in the Manufacturers guide either. Anybody here works for MB whose able to help please?

Vehicle is: A180 BLUE-CY AMG SPORT CD - 2013 plate.
Fuel Type: DIESEL.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes I have checked that website and it's saying that my car is below the standard to be exempted, and i know that My car is almost new, it's so not fair that they are just basing it on number of years.

For diesel cars to be exempted, it needs to be atleast Euro6 I think :-(

Enforcement of the ULEZ will be based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age.

Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after September 2015

So your nearly new? (6 years old) Diesel looks like it is not
compliant Im afraid.

Odds are the website is correct . No it's not fair at all , but the government's job is to squeeze you for all the money they can , and they are very well practised at it .

I had a letter yesterday saying one of my vehicles was not ULEZ compliant.Turns out it's my 1550cc Harley,not my 5461cc car.Not that I drive into London anyway but after 2021 it's Greater London so getting closer all the time.

I was reading this below, what do they mean when they said *some manufacturers may have made vehicles to a higher emissions standard that it was mandatory at time? Like some vehicles may show higher emission on record but its in reality it's not. So then, so they can also be exempted?

How to check your vehicle's emissions standard

To see if you'll have to pay the ULEZ charge, you need to check your vehicle's European emissions standard. In most cases this is determined by how old your car is, as follows:

• Euro 1 - applies to all new registrations after 31 Dec 1992
• Euro 2 - all new registrations after 1 Jan 1997
• Euro 3 - all new registrations after 1 Jan 2001
• Euro 4 - all new registrations after 1 Jan 2006
• Euro 5 - all new registrations after 1 Jan 2011
• Euro 6 - all new registrations after 1 Sept 2015

However some manufacturers may have made vehicles to a higher emissions standard than was mandatory at the time.

ULEZ uses this site to define whether it applies or not :-

These emission zones are only is certain city centre's. If you are not driving in there regularly I don't see it as an issue.
I am not changing my E350CDI to a petrol version which will cost me at least another £400 in fuel a year.

Our SL500 is exempt from the charge, the SL55 isn't

What does "you are not subject to the ULEZ" mean? My SL500 and Audi S5 both give that result on the website so are they both exempt from any charges?
