Hi
What's everyone's thoughts on these logo lights. I always thought they were quite tacky or just for show etc. But I have seen a few extremely expensive amgs with them on. I'm now in two minds.
Thanks

Mrs LKs Mini came with them ex factory - I'm still not convinced.

Yeah I wasn't too keen on the idea. I haven't seen them on any car where I live. You can get them quite cheap my try a set see how they look. Easy to put back if there crap. We'll see.

That's the problem I have too.
If they're puddle lights I want the puddle well lit not just the bits where the logo are. If they aren't puddle lights then what's the point?

On Mrs LKs Mini they project from the wing mirrors so are pretty carp at lighting the area you put your foot getting out.

I put a couple of cheap similar ones on the front doors of the S204, I don't think they give enough puddle light but SWMBO likes them and says they're OK for her when getting out of the car. Mine have a lighted circle with the 3 pointed star and Mercedes Benz. Haven't yet fitted the second pair to the rear doors!

One thing I don't like with mine is that the illumination of the red warning part is far dimmer than the originals.

Yeah there not great. Speaking of tail lights I'm not a fan of the small lights on the newer c classes. Just think they should be bigger.

I bought a cheap set from eBay and they were utter shite, they didn't fit properly and we're badly out of focus. They fell apart when I tried to remove them. I returned them for a refund and put some brighter led bulbs in instead.

I like them as well.

On the subject of rear lights though, I find a great many cars have tiny rear lights and almost invisible indicators. VW golf for one with the indicator inside the ring of the brake light so all you see is the red and can easily miss the flashing indicator.

Exactly why I don't like the union jack tail lights.

It seems to be a new form of design these days on new cars, design the indicators so that they can hardly be seen!
