Yes it is :-(
Very sad news. I can't see him being replaced by a single person.
RIP Charlie
I've not heard of the chap who is taking over for Melbourne.
Oh right, do no one new that he had this condition? terrible, but like you say, it wasn't drawn out.Pulmonary embolism - hit our son's godfather in about 1981 when he was about 35 years old, the paramedic said even if he'd been standing at Andrew's side when it hit, he would not have been able to save him. Thankful for Charlie that, although very young and unexpected, for him it was quick and not the horrible drawn out death that both my parents had thanks to the big C.
He will be missed. RIP Charlie, you were greatly appreciated by motor racing.
You don't think of this happening until you are affected directly and witnessed this.In Andrew's case it was completely a bolt from the blue. His work meant he had to have annual medicals, he'd driven to his parents house to collect some valuables ahead of their house move, went out to the van, a little later his mother wondered why she hadn't seen him, found him in the back of the van. Complete shock. Non smoker, light drinker, healthy lifestyle, gone in a flash.
Maybe Ross Braun ?, you can shoot me down now
