Hi, I'm Steve, I'm 61 years young and living in Durham in the UK. Recently purchased an ML270 W163. I'm a little unsure about it at the moment. If there is another member in the North East/Yorkshire area thats has a lot more knowledge then me, please get in touch.

Hi and welcome. What's the problem with it?
It's the passenger seat, the airbag and srs light. I believe that there is a keep fix but the modules are anywhere between £7 - £40. It's buying the correct one.

Ah yes the occupancy sensor.
Two choices - replace the sensor pad (involves stripping seat) or fit an emulator.
If you go on eBay you can use their returns policy if the seller sells you one that doesn't work. Some are switchable for different vehicles (the one I use is switchable). Unfortunately I can't point you at the seller I used as it was ages ago.

I had to fit an emulator to my passenger seat after the seat pad failed and I seem to remember that it also had a connection to the seat belt stalk. That was about five years ago now and I got it off eBay.

I'll try and find an emulator on ebay

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum - from another Steve who, from your photo, uses the same hairdresser as you (as my old Mum used to say!).

Hi, a fella I use for doing any repairs to my motors took this of from under the passenger seat. Bit overkill? Is it the small occupied box I need to change?

Only had this ML270 for a week Had massive break failure on Saturday. The rear brake pipe blew off. I've had new bushes fitted, gaiters /bellows /boots whatever they are called. I'm £250 into it already, plus I have the SRS passenger seat module failure. Regretted buying it now. Oh forgot new towbar socket as well.
