ROTFL. The first one that actually worked was a rather elderly Ford 100E Escort. This was the 'Estate' version of the 100E side-valve 'Ford Popular' before the name was adopted to the later Escort range. I think it dated from the late 50s.

I don't have a photo but my first car was a 1966 navy blue Mk.1 Ford Cortina which on the outside was a 1200 Deluxe even down to the stock chrome hub caps, the seats were stock as well but not much else. Burton stage 3 engine taken from a wrecked hot rod racer. Big valves, high lift long duration cam, 4 branch exhaust, twin Webber carburettors, a 2000E gearbox and uprated suspension and brakes, original steel wheels cut and banded, a bit of a sleeper back in it's day. :)

Nope, not one of them, I was 18 and that was a long time ago you didn't worry about such things, although I'm sure the insurance man may have been interested had I had an accident. I almost killed it, after several months of hard use and not having given a thought to the propshaft the rear uj let go. The prop let go at the axle, dug in the tarmac, ripped the gearbox clean off the bell housing putting a hole in the floor pan as the car went over it, all part of the learning curve as teenager! :)

W166 GLE350AMG Line 3.0 2017. BMW Z3 2.8 1998.
I started to drive in my Dad's Mini van, that had a fibreglass Clubman front on it and was resprayed a dark peppermint green using the Hoover cylinder cleaner spray bottle attachment. It was a beautiful colour and the respray was superb. KBD128D was it's registration number. Dad had bought it from a farmer, hence the rotten front end. He used it to commute from Stamford to Swanton Morley daily in order to keep the miles off the family car that was for Sunday best.

As my twin brother and I used it and couldn't work out to share equally we bought our own cars.

Mine was a Vauxhall Viva HB in green, LDP771F. It had a tiny chain like steering wheel when I bought it.

I had an accident at work that paid out for me to buy a brand new Ford Escort MkIII 1.6L 3 door hatchback. Whilst awaiting delivery I swapped the Viva for a mini pick up that was black and white like a panda bear that had an 850 in it that I changed to a 1275Gt with gearbox from a Austen 1300 GT and had to cut a hole in the floorpan to put the gear-lever through. I removed the rubber cones from the suspension to enable it to 'drift'. The Escort was blue, reg ABG678X. Then an airfix white Astra GTE MkI, A221FFC. A Cavalier Sri. Then a 8v Astra GTE MkII in metallic blue, E68VJO. Then company cars. Then the Astra GTE MkII Champion, I posted about on another thread, H833JOO. A few years later a BMW Z3 2.8 in black with a green/black interior I still have. A Mazda Bongo that started Blue over Silver that was resprayed Mercedes Designo Orange, W42VEL. A W211 E220 in silver. Then a W211 E270 in Silver HJ05NXV. Then a W221 S350L in black. Now a W166 GLE350 AMG Line in Brilliant Blue that carries my S3KEF plate as did the Z3 & W221.

Mine was a Morris 1300 on an H plate, 1970 perhaps, in grey but with leather seats and radio. Had a few Austin /BLMC cars and admit to owning an Allegro in “baby sick yellow” at some point.
Didn’t really get into cars for a while as you may have noticed.

My first car was a Hillman imp 1968 model. 850 engine and in a dark blue.
Was a long time ago now, after that went for a Capri MK1 1600gt. Much more oomph.
