After reading a other post I'm interested to know what was your first car?
Pic below wasn’t mine but the same “limited edition” Ford Fiesta 1.1L Sandpiper - Roman Bronze over Solar Gold - OAO 667W
I expect you all remember the registration of your first car as well
....
I don't have a photo but my first car was a 1966 navy blue Mk.1 Ford Cortina which on the outside was a 1200 Deluxe even down to the stock chrome hub caps, the seats were stock as well but not much else. Burton stage 3 engine taken from a wrecked hot rod racer. Big valves, high lift long duration cam, 4 branch exhaust, twin Webber carburettors, a 2000E gearbox and uprated suspension and brakes, a bit of a sleeper back in it's day.
Nope, not one of them, I was 18 and that was a long time ago you didn't worry about such things, although I'm sure the insurance man may have been interested had I had an accident. I almost killed it, after several months of hard use and not having given a thought to the propshaft the rear uj let go. The prop let go at the axle, dug in the tarmac, ripped the gearbox clean off the bell housing putting a hole in the floor pan as the car went over it, all part of the learning curve as teenager!and obviously all mods declared .....
