Hi,

Very happy with my car and have added, rear spoiler, speaker and amp/sub up-grade, hard wired front and rear dash-cams and logo door lights. Now looking to spend some more money on improvements, So the question is with about £1200 to spend, should I go for 19" wheels (ex rubber) or a GAD/MSL remap?

I've had 19" before and appreciate the comments on harsh ride/pot holes: but after 4.5 years with an E320 on 19's I'm quite happy with the set-up. Not a "speed merchant" but do like to blat it every now and again.

Comments welcome. :)

You could probably have both , re-map and wheels.
I’m not sure what Gad charge but would guess around £350-£450.
Then that would leave funds for some Pre-owned wheels .

That looks vey like the the Col du Mont Cenis, from Modane in France over the top to Susa in Italy.
Driven that route many times.

One passo too far north east- it’s the Col d’Echelle. Very good guess and top marks!

What size wheels and tyres do you have C? And the offsets?
8.5J fronts and 9.5J rears; I cant remember the offsets sorry!

Tyres are running 245/40fr and 275/35 rears.

Thanks. I have the same size tyres on the same diameter rim...but your offset must be much different to mine...they push out more, looking very nice I must say.

Gumtree’s finest IIRC! They do have a problem with clipping the arch rims when hitting a sharp bump though so I may need to recalibrate the rears 5mm higher.

OK, so decision is (at the moment), get wheels refurbed and live with the 18" AMG alloys (until tires wear out). get a remap from GAD and put rest into pension fund (yeah right). After the remap I may noy livethat lomg. :)
