Help with Mercedes Specialist Finder

Whilst not a Mercedes specialist I can recommend RSD automotive in Daventry.
They don't have Star ( but have access on demand to mine). I've used them for a new AC compressor on my 210, exhaust work on my 129 and other odd bits where a lift is required and always been very happy with his work.

I own a 2004 E Class with 94,000 miles no dings/dents and is immaculate for the year which has also been serviced and repaired by a MB specialist. I have also called upon a local garage who deal in other makes and is a non MB specialist, the repair work carried out by them I have also been pleased with. I was thinking of using the non specialist for servicing do you think this would have a bearing on the resell value if I were to part ex for another Mercedes.

^ I think prospective buyers of your car would prefer to see MB specialist stamps for both servicing and repairs. I know I would.

If you are p/xing the car at a non MB dealer, I doubt they'll even check the service history. You'll just get trade price for it.

Second time at Stevenson’s independent Mercedes near Maidstone. Front disc and pads replacements. Knows the car and forward diagnosis of things that need attention immediately and for next service is second to none. Very impressed and they have my custom while I remain a Mercedes owner.

I've been using Class Cars in Sandwich for several years (incidentally, a really good MB specialist) but the 68 mile round trip from Ashford was becoming a bit too much so, having read the remarks/recommendations on the forum from Chrishazle, GeoffCapes and others. I took my car around to MasterTech last week and after a chat with Ben booked my car in for a B service. I'm glad I did - the car is running really smoothly and it's clear they know what they're doing. I also had the discs and pads changed all round as the pads were worn right down and the discs scoured.

A professional outfit and also a friendly bunch so I'll now be using them for future services, etc.

Thanks to those mentioned above for bringing them to our attention.

I have previously recommended MasterTech for servicing, they were on Ellingham Industrial estate in Ashford but have just moved to a small industrial area on the outskirts of Woodchurch, into a unit previously occupied by a classic Jaguar specialist. From memory it's at least twice the size of their Ellingham unit.

First time going there it's a bit interesting to find. If coming from Tenterden along Brook Street, on the right just before the 30mph sign you'll see signs for the likes of RW Tyres. If travelling the other way, it's on the left, looks like a farm entrance. Follow the concrete roadway (watch out for the speed bump!) to the right then down and round to the left and you'll find them.

I had a shunt recently on the M6 & my car was repaired by Car Magic of Chesham.
Excellent service by very nice people.They specialise in non fault accident claims(so your insurance company doesn't get involved)but also undertake refurb of older cars.When I was in there they had two older MB SL's,an early 1970's Rolls Royce & a Reliant Scimitar undergoing restoration.

Mercare in Plymouth have been brilliant with my Merc and Smart car. I had a much reduced rate on my Smart the day after having work done on my Merc. Friendly and professional, they have my future service work on both cars.

There is another MB specialist in Plymouth, MB Motor Services, Leaves Yard. He worked for Mercare for 17 years, he is in fact the owner of Mercares son, he had the Star diagnostic set up last week. I’m going to let him loose on my Smart car.
