Air and cabin filters

I did order these. Getting them cheap defeats the object if I have to make a round trip and pay for a start session. I suppose I can return.

Why bother, they have only been in the car for a year, they have a 4 year life apparently as for the cabin filter if it was done on the B service then it is fine until the next one, just wasting money

I've read too many contradicting opinions on this. But that makes sense to leave it, I've since cancelled the order.

V6 diesel .... other than that I don't know the actual engine designation :confused:
You could have the OM642 if it's a 3.0 V6 diesel, which is the same as mine.

This may be a silly question, but is there any real long term benefit in fitting K&N air filters. I understand they can be washed and reused. I need to replace the air filters in the SL55; the K&N’s are £100 for the pair :shock:

No benefit at all.
They filter less effectively than stock, make more noise and are frankly a waste of money.

Remember K&N are a study in selling snake oil.
