The little red car is now on the ferry at Holyhead, on it's way to a new life in Ireland. I shall miss it but there wasn't anything left for me to do on it really, hopefully it will now be getting used a bit more than it was.

Drove 300 miles back from sunny North Wales to sunny Essex . Made a little detour to go via Llanberis and Pen y Pass to start with as the roads were so dry . The run through the mountains on the A5 was spectacular .

Hello, I cleaned it with alloy wheel cleaner and stiff brush, then painted it with high temp alloy paint; 3 light coats then heated it with the wife’s hair drier...I masked the surrounding area with shrinkrap. I think it turned out well. ;)

I remember chuckling to myself at a guy driving at night with his roof down, I could understand in places like the states where the temperature is still high at night; but last night on the way home from work, I did the same thing. It was an enjoyable drive, a different driving experience again. I wound the heater up full and wahay! Toasty warm...:geek:
