I have just learnt that our district council are printing 30mph speed limit stickers to give to residents to stick on their wheelie bins "as a local traffic calming measure"!

You couldn't make it up could you, judging by the intellect level of the current crop of people in power in this Country we are all doomed.

Rant over.

The mind boggles...

What is the cost of the stickers going to be?

They have also set up a local resident community speed watch with state of the art speed cameras, neighbours giving neighbours speeding tickets and I as a rate payer seem to be funding it!

I think we need to organise a National Wheelie Bin Speed Protest Week.

I've never been clocked yet for going fast in my wheelie bin, but I bet the WB Police are hiding in the bushes somewhere.

Let's break this stupid wheelie bin speed limit before it becomes law!

You're not taking this seriously, guys.

If wheelie bins get a speed limit, it'll be prams and pushchairs next - then shopping trolleys.
How would you like it if your wife confessed to speeding in the aisles, and you had to pay the fine?
A fast woman like that could bankrupt you!

OMG! I think I saw that in a movie before...desperate housewives kind of stuff. I wonder how those tickets would stand up in court and what local police would have to say about that?

That is just unreal, not fake news is it ? I find it difficult to believe that even a local authority could be that crazy, oh, maybe not
That is my local authority...

(I have 3 green wheelie bins though):D:p:D:p
