hi,
my goal/plan is to route power from the back of the 12v charger in the center console, I'll do this by removing the center console and soldering/connecting up new cable from the back of the charger socket and route a cable to the inside of the glove compartment and attach a new 12v charger socket in the glove compartment, I'm doing this to easily connect up a dash cam and to have the wires hidden from view.

So, does anyone know how I can remove the inside shell of the glove compartment safely without breaking anything ? any instructions to doing this, it's a 2017 model E220 sedan (W213),

thanks in advance for any help
cheers
niall

i looked through WIS and accidentally found this in German, after translating it i think this is at least part of the instructions... it seems i have to also remove the trim...and display, dam why is this so complicated....

1. Move the passenger seat back to the end position

2 Remove door sill panel type 213 AR68.30-P-4100LW

Unscrew 3 screws (2)

4 Cover (1) on the retaining clips (3) * 110589035900

Unclip assembly wedge, push outward on hook (5), unhook and lower (arrow) so that electrical connections (4, 6) are accessible

5 Disconnect electrical connectors (4, 6)

6 Remove cover (1)

7 Changing the temperature sensor (8) When replacing the cover (1).

8 Convert footwell lamp (7) When replacing cover (1).

9 Installation in reverse order

I've spent hours, days even trying to find info about how to connect up a dashcam invisibly in the W213, what a nightmare, I'll keep digging though as the dashcam is on it's way to me...
