Anyone with an automatic 722.6 transmission?

I'm curious to know when you select first gear on a flat surface and release the brake so that the car starts to pull away how fast does your car go in mph without any gas pedal acceleration? Mine gets to 8mph. It seems to pull away quickly and I'm wondering if this is the norm or is there too much drive coming from the transmission?

My vehicle is a 2010 C250 CDI with the 5 speed 722.6 auto transmission.

Any thoughts on th

Sounds about right to me.
Mine sometimes creeps slowly, and at other times moves a little quicker. Depends a lot on temperature of the 'box, road inclination, tyres, brakes (bind a little on occasion) and engine tickover rate (which can also vary).

It will depend on the idle speed of the engine , my CLS idled at 600 when warm and 800 until it was warm.

IIRC the creep speed at 600 rpm was around 4 - 5 mph , at 800 rpm it would have been nearer 8 mph.

had a w203 5 speed and that would do 5mph in first and 10 in 2nd.
Now have a w204 7 speed and same results, although the w204 sometimes pulls away in 2nd so its straight up to 10 mph.

Sounds about right to me too. 5-8mph. It’s surprisingly quick.

Hi Mark, do you have the gearbox in S or C ? If it's in S, it will pull away in 1st gear, if it's in C it will pull away in 2nd. Bearing this in mind if you are in 2nd you will have a higher road speed on tickover.

My ML270 with a 5 speed has developed an issue with pulling too hard at idle. Something to do with a solenoid, I am told. Will get it looked at when I do my next auto fluid and filter change. Meantime, the engine labours a bit more than it should to maintain a 750 idle speed and I def have to keep the foot on the brake.

Yes in C. I'll try in S and see if there is any difference.

My 129 starts in second and will idle at 600rpm which equates to 7 or 8 mph.
The slightest incline and will just sit there.
It's not a 722.6 (it's a 722.4) but yours sounds pretty normal to me.
