My son was kind enough to show me how to do the screen shot and save it.
So, now you can see how much info is available.
I used the standard size for the rears on my Coupe and changed to my winter set up (narrower, with a slightly larger profile) to let you see just how much information is available for you to find out.

You should get him to show you how to edit them as well so we can’t all see your open tabs and bookmarks...

If you press “ctrl” and “prntscreen” you only get the active window on the clipboard. Alternatively if you have “sniping tool” on your start menu you can just select the bit of your desktop you want to save.

Tbh he answered a text I sent him asking how to do a screenshot, if he had actually been here no doubt it would have been done properly for me. Dad's just too slow.

I didn't even think of those or notice them until after I had posted to the thread. Can you tell how much I don't know about computers, lol? :D

"If you press “ctrl” and “prntscreen” you only get the active window on the clipboard." Thank you for that info, I will put it to good use in future sir. ;)

Fortunately the open tabs and bookmarks only give an insight to my interests and don't do any harm at all. :geek:

As for the "snipping tool" I wouldn't know that if it jumped off the page and snipped my nose off, lol.

Hi I’m new here.
I’ve got a 2016 C205.

I’ve been given a set of alloys which are 20”x8.5 ET35 front
And 20”x10 ET38 rear
Was just wondering if they will fit my car okay and if so what tyres they will need?
They will fit
But remember to do 4 wheel laser alignment

Seen loads of w205 on 8.5 & 10J on the googles

Must be some special wheels to have 10J rear?

I saw some really nice concave wheels for sale recently multispokes with a 10J rear - it really emphasises the depth of concave on the rear in 10J format

Hello,
I've seen a set of wheels that I like, I've taken a look at a website linked in this thread to see if they'd fit my car and I think they would...I just want a second, third & fourth opinion I have a '99 W202 c200,
The size is...

They’re a staggered 18” set up
18x8.5 +35
18x 9.5 +38

These are the wheels...

I'm not sure they will fit.
18s for yours should be 7.5 and 8.5, et 37 front 30 rear.

OK, I've seen these wheels for sale, they're off a 2014 a class, he says they're AMG alloys, I've taken a look and I think they're 42.5 offset. Would these fit my W202

You would need Spacers, a W202 needs an ET30 - 37 so a set of 10mm spacers all round, also check the bolt size the W202 has a 12mm bolt and IIRC these take a 14mm bolt

As above you'll need special wheel bolts.
The standard 202 wheel is M12 with an R12 radius head. Those wheels are M14 with an R14 head. You can get M12/R14 bolts and you would need to find some for them to go on. The bad news is I don't know of any M12 R14 bolts that will work with spacers.

You CANNOT safely use standard M12 bolts!

E220D AMG Line S213. Will 18" Wheels fit?
Hello, I am looking to get a set of winter wheels following the 'smaller rim, deeper wall' philosophy. Unfortunately I keep seeing mixed data. Some say 18" ok & some say No.
Looking at the gap with large front callipers on the existing 19" wheels I have my doubts.
Has any one else with a similar spec machine fitted 18" ok?
275 on the rear is it a bit OTT for a E220D especially for winter use?
TIA

Hello and welcome, have a look inside the fuel filler car - the smallest and narrowest listed will work for winters.

I use “mytyres” website - you can enter your reg and pick the wheels / tyres you want. They come with fitting kits as well (hub centric rings and wheel bolts of required). Good value for wheels and tyres.

B6FDDD32-E26A-44DA-A5B9-4660528693B5.jpeg I'll try again, I've found some 17x7.5 1999 CLK wheels, part number I've been told is 204011602-71/2 j8.
I can't find any information on the offset, can anyone help please? They're for my W202.

The W208 CLK was based on the W202 so should have no issue using them on a 202.

What size tyres do you think I should use, I'd prefer some wider ones on the rear if possible to fill the arches out a bit.
Oh and thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.

That will depend on what you have now in order not to upset cruise, esp and abs.

The wheels will fit just fine, but the rear tyres are the wrong size.

They should be 245x35x18 rear tyres.
The ones fitted are the wrong aspect (40 instead of 35)
Budget for 2 rear tyres.
