Thank you for the reply, the merc dealer have reprogrammed the ECU, in this condition it was blow up fuse no. 57 (20 amp one of the starter fuse), the starter relay was changed with no effects. An indication of was is wrong will be greatly appreciated. It's not the CPS. A failed CPS the engine spins over but won't fire.
Are you saying it is now fixed by MB ? Could they not explain what occurred ?Thank you for the reply, the merc dealer have reprogrammed the ECU, in this condition it was blow up fuse no. 57 (20 amp one of the starter fuse), the starter relay was changed with no effects. When a cold engine does not start in hot weather, this is unique never ever heard of it. Please help
Thank you in advance.
The click could be the starter relay. This is why I asked him to identify where the click is coming from.If you hear a click under the bonnet when you try with the key to start your car, then the starter solenoid is being energised. If it was duff, or if its trigger wire was faulty, there would be no click.
The cause might be the starter motor itself, or possibly - no matter what your Merc Dealer said - the starter circuit. This could be either the live feed to the starter or the earth between car body and engine. The blown 20amp fuse points this way.

Agreed about the fuse.
Definitely the best way.Two people needed. One to turn the key, while the other puts his hand on the starter solenoid. Definite ID then.
It's not even cranking....id spill test the injectors , one of my cars injectors failed and it refused to start when hot , yet cold is was bob on
sorted , reckon it will be the solenoid in the end even though the OP says his tech has checked it out . . . .It's not even cranking....
