He is driving with a hat on....explains it all

Thanks Rory, I often drive with a cap on. Don't know why but I just do. :) And..I am very strict with myself on traffic codes and laws :) ;). When you have as little hair as I have it helps to disguise the fact ;);)

Nothing personal intended :) - we always had a thing that people who wear hats, while driving, are bad drivers....:) & people who wear hats (or sunglasses) indoors or while eating have no manners :geek:

My hair is thin/balding on top - I don't bother trying to hide it but I do wear a cap or hat when the sun is shining to stop the bald patch getting burnt:geek:.

Now that does rankle me, or when people put their hat/cap/bag on the dining table !! Oh, no offence taken or even thought about :):)

When you wear glasses having a large skip cap on is very helpful in keeping the rain off the lenses, it then becomes a matter of forgetting to take the damned hat off when you get in the vehicle.

One gets so used to having it on, it becomes second nature.

I did once share your opinion of drivers wearing hats however, advancing decrepitude has, over the years, forced me to become one who has little choice but to do the same during inclement weather, as continually having to clean the lenses after being out in the rain became such a pita.

In explaination, I now work as a delivery driver so, one is in and out of the van/rain almost every five minutes.

In my defence I always wear my Mercedes cap. :D

Saw another one this morning in the car park at Tesco Tenterden - a (I think S204) C250 - or so it was badged on the rear NS - with an AMG badge on the rear OS!

On the way home from Lincoln spotted a C350 with quad exhausts badged as an AMG. Funnily enough it was on stock alloys..

Apparently in the North, - shoes on the dining table are a big no no. My son arrived home and put a shoe box (with new shoes) on the table and was told off by his wife

Do you also have those stickers of stick people families on your rear window......:)

The best thing about these threads whatever car club forum on which they appear is reading the huffy puffy indignant judgemental responses. Gives me a laugh every time. Bit like dangling a bag of sweets in front of children & watching them all rush about trying to grab one.
I have often mis-badged or badge deleted (my car my life mind your own business) especially when lumbered with a couple of nasty company issued diesels. The D badges came off the moment the cars were delivered although the noisy engines gave them away.

i'm seeing SLK250AMG in his profile - isn't the 250 a diesel and thus not a "proper" AMG??:D:D:D I'm tempted to put an AMG badge on the back of my S204 C220 as it has AMG wheels!:p:p:D:D

I just followed a W211 E320CDi that had a black AMG badge on it. As I don't operate the phone camera by hand as I'm driving, I didn't get an image :(

twas a black car with tinted windows too , just after school let out time travelling between 2 schools :geek:. I was taking mum to the chiropodist, not doing a drug run :D:D:cool:

Do you have an AMG badge on yours? If yes, post a photo on this thread as it will be perfectly appropriate in this thread :).
