When I bought this car a year ago it had some amazing 20" wheels, but they were the wrong ET and therefore caused damage to the rear arches (which I had to get repaired and probably will have to repair again....).

So I did some research, and made sure that I would get 20" wheels that were correct for my car, but I wanted a certain look. I wanted the dark look.

I saved up and bought some 'new' refurbished staggered AMG wheels from Germany complete with new Bridgestone Potenza tires and TPMS and here is the result. I know some people don't like 20" wheels but I love them, I think they really add to the overall look of a car.

The colour of the rims is 'titanium grey' and it looks amazing.

The comfort with these tires is the same as with the 19" but I do hear slightly more road noise.

If anyone wants to know where I sourced these wheels then let me know and i'll help. Same goes for the AMG red hub caps (I love them :p).

cheers
niall

I've put the 19" up for sale (to help pay for these) and here's the selling photos, yeah they look great but I wanted 20". And I wanted DARK. The 20" deliver :).

I'm just waiting on everyone saying to stick with the 19" lol.

Your roads up there are so much better maintained than ours Niall, the car suits 20’s and that colour is very nice.

I've got security bolts on each wheel if that means anything, and i've no plans to drive to Ireland or the UK in this car

It's not the security I'd be concerned about it's the state of the roads!

when I'm in Ireland I drive from Dublin to Sligo and the roads are great the whole way, and then I usually spend a week in Sligo, and ditto, great roads.

Just don't go near Connemara or anywhere north of it.

It's amazing how good many of the roads in Ireland are now, especially if you know them from the 1970's as we do as wife is from Cork and I worked there 1973-4. Look at the side of just about all the new main roads around and south/west of Dublin and you'll see big signs saying "financed by the EU" or something similar! In 1974 Cork to Dublin was 4 hours of purgatory, it's now 2 hours of motorway. Coming into Cork from Dublin you used to have to drive right through the city, now there's the tunnel under the Liffy and a dual carriageway ring road. As for the Cork to Mallow road which used to be Ireland's flatter Stelvio Pass, again it's now dual carriageway main road! It's like Spain - OK, we've only driven in the North from Santander to Santiago and back, but the roads were incredible, wish ours were even close to that good!

Do you wonder why Varadgar is so adamant about keeping Ireland in the EU!!

The roads in Ireland are superb...and clutter free. You can travel 200 miles in Ireland in easily under 2.5 hours. Potholes, unlike in the UK, are not a "thing".

The roads I've found are very good and then just stop and appear to turn into a dirt track
