Not heard of any in Edinburgh itself, seem to recall someone mention a German specialist in Straiton but I’m struggling to remember the name

If you're in Edinburgh and have an older Merc with engine problems I recommend AG Autos. Really decent guy. Knows his stuff.

Having been the first to recommend Mastertech in Ashford (now in Woodchurch and trading as MTA Networks) I feel an update is needed, should have done this a year ago. After initially being helpful with my SLK purchase things went rapidly downhill resulting in the car being returned to me with loose wheel bolts on the rear NS, on next use the wheel came off while travelling at about 35mph on a Sunday morning in early December 2019. Considerable damage done to the rear NS suspension, brakes and 1 cross member, they messed me around about the repairs and I did not get the car back until mid January. In the meantime 3 friends, also customers, were messed around badly, there's a review on Google about an unhappy lady who has a county court order against them and is being ignored, also other local knowledge I've heard, too many things to ignore so I no longer recommend them and they will not see either of my cars again. It's a shame as they're only 1 mile from me so really handy!

In the meantime I've discovered Alex Foti of AMF near Paddock Wood (Tonbridge), and although a 45 minute cross country drive that's where I go now, him I happily recommend!!

Mentioned above is Stevensons in Maidstone (Steve Garlic), over the years I've seen him recommended many times although I have not used him myself.
