I’m new in here and hope you all can help me. My 6 month old GLC was keyed on Tuesday evening. 3 panels affected. MB has quoted me £3k to respray.

Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.

Probably an independent bodyshop will do a much cheaper job. Worth getting a quote and taking it back to the MB dealer.
You could lose your anti perforation warranty (for what it's worth) if you 'go disloyal'.

Never heard of anti perforation warranty. Oh dear!

I’ve contacted some local Bodyshops in SE London. Prices vary dramatically. Some are taking about ovens to bake the paint and respraying the whole side. I’m unsure if that’s necessary.

When my E220 was keyed they resprayed the whole side - Insurance job and in no way cheap. Scratch was deep so it was the best option. Very good job and baked in an oven.

If you are claiming on your insurance policy, then go with the Mercedes option.
What colour and finish is your car ?
