This car seems to throw up a fault weekly.
Fixed a rain water leak yesterday, had to take wheel arch liner out and seal a bung that leaks, and whilst there noticed that the lower ball joint on front suspension has split its rubber boot.
I thought no issue as held in place with a large castle type nut. Not this car, they are pressed into the hub, and need to be pressed out and replaced with new type.
Not having the tools to press, looking like hub removal as well to do, cold concrete drive to work on, can only jack it up enough to grovel underneath, decided to be a real Mercedes driver and booked it in to local garage to do. Both sides for about £220.
it hurts to pay labour, but at the age now where i will bypass jobs that require to much effort.
