Hi Guys,

I have a pair of these Brembo pads and will be fitting soon.

Not sure if I need to purchase separate sensors as ECP doesn't list them.. The listing for the pads, says the sensor is "prepared". Does this mean the sensor is embedded in the pad and I will need to do is plug in the lead coming from the car?

It's a bit confusing really, as other sites offer wear sensors for this model car, but not ECP. And "prepared" is a bit ambiguous imho.

Thanks

It means that the pad has a hole/slot already for the sensor to go into . You may get lucky and be able to re-use the existing sensor(s) , but sometimes they break . MB obviously sell sensors , as do the likes of eBay (few quid each ?)

Yea I thought that is exactly what it meant alright.. I just find it weird thay ECP don't display any sensors when I input my model / reg.

I thought they would be a nearly standard type thing.

Here's a choice of 2 sensors for your SL Conor. A Brembo or aftermarket. Either will do if you need a new one.

https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/mercedes-benz/sl-r230/16258/10731/wear-indicator-brake-pads?sort_supplier[0]=65

Thanks for this, I saw those ones and was happy to buy but the shipping is like £8.50 or something.. and I don't need anything else right now, don't fancy paying over the odds for simple sensors.

I am going to stick with what I have now and can replace later if needed.

Thanks.

Hi. I fitted Brembos Discs and pads to the front and rear and did not replace the Sensors as the warning light hadn't come on. (If the light comes on you will have to replace them).

ECP do list them, just separately.
