It appears to be a decent price compared to other sites.

Just wondering should I nab this while it's on special and have it for when I get around to looking at my paintwork.

Does anybody have this and recommend?

Having previously looked at polishers, i'd probably be getting a DAS 6 (Pro?) if buying.

I must admit this is me being lazy as I am not researching this right now and hoping somebody else can steer me.. (I just don't have time at the moment).

DA’s are all very similar, everyone also tends to have their favourite brand a little like detailing products. Personally the best thing you can do it get one in your hands and feel how is is weighted for you. After that it’s just making sure it has multiple speed control and lots of heads/pads

I purchased one (DA polisher) thinking I'd use it for waxing. Used it once and decided that a "hand job" ;) was easier to do. The polisher has gone back into it's bag and not been out since then. Unless you are planning to do "polishing" or like lots of tools, I wouldn't bother.

I doubt you'll find anyone recommending this machine for use here in the UK, unless of course they're going to bundle a frequency converter with it? as it is listed as a 60hz machine, clearly manufactured for other markets, it will not work in most of the western world who generate electricity at 50hz! It looks like Eurocarparts have dropped a clanger there? :D

Well spotted, but it is probably the correct frequency (would have been fitted with a UK plug etc) and is laziness on the part of the person who set up the ad and did a "cut and paste" of the description.

Yea that might very well be the case with me too.. But I do fancy a bit of light paint correction. Happy to try it out on the workhorse E class first then move to the SL.

Both could do with a bit of it.. But I think the SL will look sublime with a good job done on it come summer.

Interesting. I always thought I had an eye for detail but you guys miss nothing!

I might head on over to ECP and have a look at the spec.. If it compares favourably to the DAS6 I will purchase.

Thanks

Yup, i've already seen. It will be interesting to see how they differ spec wise and also from reviews online. Because the Chemical Guys one RRP is much higher... then again, might be on sale for a reason.. and I know price doesn't tell everything.
