Infotainment video playback

Hey all!


Just wanna say thank you for this wonderful forum. Im a newbie to Mercedes Benz, just recently bought a 66 plate A180d Sport Premium.

I wanted to know is there anyway to play video clips on the screen? Any advice would be much appreciated TIA.

Welcome to the forum:)

Assuming you have Comand with an SD card slot, have you tried downloading the clips from your PC to an SD card card?. It works for music.
Please don't try viewing video whilst the car is on the move. Its illegal and dangerous.

Please don't try viewing video whilst the car is on the move. Its illegal and dangerous.

Its safe to say, i have no idea whats Command with and sd card is. I do have my navigation in a sd card slot. Im a driving instructor. Just wanted to know if it was possible to watch a movie while im on break on the screen of the car really.

Have you tried putting a video file on a USB stick and plugging that in, assuming you have USB sockets? There should be a video option under “Media” or something similar the same way you play music. You may even be able to do it by Bluetooth from your phone.

The A Class media system is new so not many of us will have come across it. As said above, though, it won’t work when you are moving but, as a driving instructor, you wouldn’t do that anyway!

Too right, i just get bored during lunch. So i thought id watch something

I can’t speak for your system, but on mine (Comand Online) the following video formats are supported:
DVD-V, MPEG, WMV, M4V, AVI up to 720P
