2002 Mercedes C220CDI not revving past 3000 rpm

Hi guys I have a 2002 C220 CDI the car does not want to rev past 3000 rpm, I took it for a diagnostic showed it was the mass airflow sensor, I replaced the sensor and the car was driving well for a while then the car started doing it again, I have ran out of ideas on what it could be, please help

You need to get it back on diagnostics.

Could be the sensor again, was it s/h or cheap eBay one? As above.
