7g turbine sensor

Ive searched but only found 2 threads on this subject , neither really help
I have turbine speed sensor Y3 - 8n1 code on my 221 gearbox , its pretty specific so i take its part of the conductor plate ??

Yes part of the plate. We can replace the sensors in house, bit of a ball ache though!

I plugged in just now and there are no dtc in the gearbox which i find a bit odd but I guess till it throws a paddy again there wont be , going to try and get it removed/ sent away before i go to spain on the 9th

My refurbed unit is back early next week but it has occured to me how will i know if its fixed until its back in the car ? I was only getting the occasional fault code in my thread starter as it was ! should see a change in response / characteristics ? Are the codes lifted from the TCU itself or the ECU ??

I think you will just have to trust the refurbishment company has done a good job and pre tested the unit

Theres my issue pal , its was spose to be a 2 day turn around and will be 12 days IF its back on toosdy as promised

I know what you mean , but could have been caused by staff sickness , holidays etc ? You haven’t got any option now but to reinstall (I would think )

We think very much alike pal , life is never straight forward, i live , i know that but im miffed cos i also know how it feels when i dont get a job done on schedule! I cant really kick off either as he still has my TCU ! What he doesnt know is i have access to 3000 potential future customers but i will give him both barrels if this goes south

I never took a picture of the bottom , it looks like the silver plate is new so anyone got pics of an unrefurbed one ??
