Heater de-mister blowers

Hello fellow Mercedes owners

I have had a few issues with my 2005 sl350
Firstly, I had the red battery sign with go to workshop, so I changed the under bonnet battery, firstly disconnecting the neutral on the boot battery, but the red battery and info still showing.
My blowers for heating and de-misting are not working. Could it be a fuse ??
Any help or advise please

What condition is the rear battery in?

It’s been changed within the last year

The front battery I have just changed was the original battery on the car from new.
I always get the ‘Convenience Functions not working’ every time I start the engine.
Is this normal. The car is used every day.

No it's not normal and indicates you have a battery drain somewhere on the rear battery. My bet is Comand as it seems prone to drains.

Ahhh life was so much simpler in my youth.

My mother had a racing green Mini Cooper S (yep my dad was nuts - her previous car was an Austin Healy Sprite - for a woman with 4 kids) - the previous owner had fitted a demister which was basically a 12v heating element fitted to the windscreen with suction cups.

As LK not normal and a drain which needs found, meantime (and anyway unless the car is a daily and even then...) get a convenience charger such as Ctek and trickle when not used..
